Getting Organized::Using Frames

2/14/11

When I first saw this done here, and then saw another version here, I knew I had to put the idea to good use.  Especially, since I had these two frames on hand.  I got them from my M-I-L.  Lucky for me they were a little banged up so she no longer wanted them.  Once I used a little stain to hide the damaged areas they went under my spare bed waiting to be used for just the right project.  FYI: These would really go perfectly with the calendar that Karena did.

I followed this tutorial and swapped out the burlap for a textured muslin.  Because I had the two frames I decided not to go with the "Count Your Blessings" theme.  I knew that these would be hanging in my kitchen, so I figured I would stick with  a "Weekly Menu" and a "To Do List".  That way I can stay on track with my day to day motherly duties.  Hopefully with a little less stress.

I like how they turned out and I have ended up using them on a day to day basis.  They've made a really fun and extremely useful addition to my kitchen.  I also made another similar frame to go with these two.  It's also in my kitchen and I'll be sharing that one with you in a few days.

If you could just post a picture of your weekly menu every Monday that would be appreciated! That way I can plan my menu:)
