Drawer Front into Coat/Backpack Hanger

11/7/11

I little while ago I converted a Broken Dresser into a Console Table.  When I did it, I had left over drawer fronts that I had no idea what I should do with them.  They were beautiful and thought that I was going to use them in some sort of wall art, but I couldn't make up my mind.  Then my husband kept complaining that our place doesn't have a coat closet and that there was nowhere for the kids to hang their coats.  Then it hit me!  I decided to convert the leftover drawer fronts into a coat hanger and/or backpack hanger.

I simple screwed on the hangers, screwed the boards into the studs using the preexisting knob holes, and put up their backpacks!  Super easy and it felt good to re-purpose the leftover fronts.

Such a great idea Karena. Back packs are always tossed on the floor when my children walk in the door. This is a great solution.
