YW Value Necklace {Giveaway}

Yes, it's a giveaway! What a way to kick off from summer break. I made these necklaces for my Young Women for Girl's Camp. As with any jewelry project, there is usually leftover supplies. So, I made a few extra. Two I gave to the leaders who came to camp with me. That was such a huge help. And then I decided to make one for a giveaway!

This necklace has a each color representing the Young Women Values. All the beads are generally the same size, but there are a few different styles within them. It will come in this clear, screw-top container.

To enter this Giveaway, you must:

be a follower or become a follower
post this giveaway on Facebook, blog, website, twitter, etc

NOTE - Becoming a follower counts as 1 submission. Posting on Facebook counts as 1 submission. Posting on your blog counts as 1. ETC. You can have a whole lot of submissions :-) just be sure to leave a comment for each submission.

I love that we are now featuring your links on our Friday's Feature. I love reading all of your posts and seeing all of the fun projects and creations that you are putting together. However, I don't enjoy picking only one of the links to feature. This week was no exception. I finally decided to feature the link

Turquoise Love from My Champagne Taste.

I decided to feature this link because it simply inspired me. Right now I have secret wish to redo my entire bedroom in just these colors: dark grey and turquoise. This revamp of her entire living room/dining room was just the inspiration I've been looking for. I love some of the ideas and interior design that went into this makeover and just had to feature it.

Our mother has started her own blog, Sew Krazee, and we couldn't be happier. She is very talented in sewing, quilting, and embroidery. This is not only a site to show her projects, give some tutorials, and sell her products and services, but to also have the occasional GIVEAWAY!

She has given me permission to give our followers a heads up. She will be having a giveaway that will be posted this Monday, the 12th. You can either go there, but we will also be posting the details on this site as well. She will be giving this...

About Leah and her blog

Well, I'm Leah, I have 4 boys, a dog... that's a boy, and a wonderful husband who has taken me on many great adventures. Not adventures to foreign lands but just life in general. Currently we are in Florida while he goes to Chiropractic school, but it was a long road getting here.

I've decided to resurrect this blog and do something different.

I've decided that I am going to review things that I am using, things I have used, and things that I have looked at and decided not to use and why. I am skeptical sometimes of "testimonial" on the websites, I mean really who are these people? But I know that I am more likely to buy something or even look that way if someone I know says something about it, or recommends it.

This won't be just curriculum and products but magazines, books, and internet sites as well and why I like them or.... don't like them.

I will also share some things that work for us and tricks that I have learned along the way.

I will also be posting a "Question of the Week" I would love it if you would email me your answer. I know I have so much to learn from others and I know that your knowledge will help others as well. I will post all the answers the following week so you can see what others have done or what works for them.

I don't consider myself an expert at all, and I have only been doing homeschooling for 3 years but I feel like I have something to offer and new ideas are always good.... right??

I'll post as often as I can, and I look forward to meeting and learning from all of you.

I Spy Giveaway

Feast your eyes on this! That's right, we're giving away 204 I Spy squares. That's enough to do a quilt top going 13 squares x 16 squares. After doing many, many, I Spy swaps I found that I was left with a lot of great squares that I didn't need. What better thing to do, then to host a giveaway.

With 204 different fabrics, you can imagine the value. To purchase your own 204 fabrics, getting 1/8yd of each, at an average of $6-8/yd, would cost you anywhere from $150-200. Here are pictures of the actual squares you will be getting.

Andee Lew Clothing {Giveaway}

We are so excited to introduce all of you to Andee Lew Clothing. Lindsay Kelly is the creator of this clothing line and has finally made it possible to have the shirts that you've always wanted for your kids, but have never been able to find. She makes the the most amazing solid color shirts, onesies, and camisoles for little girls and shirts for little boys.

I've gotten an few for my girls and absolutely love their fit and versatility. In fact, I just got a few of her camisoles that I'll be converting for my girls, but that will have to wait.

In the meantime, Lindsay was nice enough to offer some of her shirts to two of our readers. Two of you will be lucky enough to win 2 shirts! How great is that!
