Creative Clipboards

12/10/10

My cousin came up with this great idea on how to alter clipboards. Her clipboards are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend that you take a look at them here.  She has a great tutorial and several different clipboards styles and looks.

After seeing what she had done I decided I was going to give it a try with some extra supplies I had on hand.
I'm not completely done yet. I have to add some ribbon to the top and finish off the ribbon on the side. But this is what I've got so far. I had an extra piece of sheet metal that I ended up adding as a magnet board.
I did this for a couple of reasons.
1. Like I said...I had the extra piece (which can be found at Home Depot and cut in half for very cheap)
2. The green paper kept wanting to pucker and bubble up (the magnet board hides that)
3. It gives me one more option on what I can put on my clipboard.

The only problem I have now is trying to figure out where I'm going to put it. I used left over scrap paper and ribbon so it doesn't really match my kitchen. Who knows, maybe it will end up as a gift. I just thought I'd share one of Connie's creations with you. It was really easy and pretty fun to put together.
