Homemade Oreos

You really need to ignore the ingredients when it comes to these cookies since they are chuck full of calories.  But, boy are they mighty tasty.  For some reason I'm never able to stop at just one.  These would make the perfect little V-day after school treat for your kiddos.  Especially if you use white, pink, and red frosting.

Ingredients for Cookies
1 Devils Food Cake Mix
3/4 Cup Shortening
2 Eggs

Mix all of the ingredients together with electric mixer.  The batter will be very stiff.  Once everything is mixed together, roll dough into 1-2 inch balls and place onto cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 5-8 minutes.  Remove from oven and place on cooling rack.

Ingredients for Filling
1 Pound Powdered Sugar
8 oz. Cream Cheese
1 Cube of Butter

Once cookies have cooled completely, frost the bottom of one cookie and place another on top of it.  Then, devour them all up before anyone gets home from school or work!  (I mean share them with your family.)
